PROFLEX 2008 (RALLY)

NEW FOR 2008

In response to the recent FIA ruling for Group N cars such that roller bearing systems are no longer permitted, this shock absorber has been developed using only plain bearings.

Alister McRae played an important role in this development using the prototype shock absorber on the Rally New Zealand 2007.

•Now with plain bearings and internal lubrication system

•Meets all 2008 FIA regulations for Gp. N and Gp. A

•Available only in 55.0mm unit

PROFLEX (EVO 3)

Suitable for Gp. A, WRC and Circuit Racing the Evo 3 is available in both 45mm and 55mm sized units. This specification consists of one roller bearing assembly attached to the insert, and an additional roller bearing assembly at the top of the outer casing.

"The Full Roller Bearing" strut assembly, developed under WRC conditions, has lead to possibly the lowest friction strut assembly that is generally available

Drummonds (5-WAY Adjustable Suspension)

The 5-way shock absorber/ strut is designed with the same high flow piston as the 3-way which allows excellent control and tuning ability. To assist the tuning of the shock absorbers to the optimum conditions, DMS has added a 3rd adjustment on the canister! This know has low speed knob (blue) high speed knob (red) and a button head (allen key) for the 3rd adjustment on compression (bump) to help the professional teams to arrive at the optimum set up for the conditions

With tarmac, gravel or race shock absorbers and struts, it is always a contentious topic of when high shaft speed adjustment starts, or when low shaft speed adjustment stops!

With the new DMS 5-way shock absorber we have an external adjustment so we can shift the point at when the high speed adjustment starts. (the 3rd adjustment on Bump, on the canister).
To tune this system you need data logging to get the optimum performance from the extra adjustment. This system is best suited to Rally Gravel, Rally Tarmac, Circuit Racing.
The advantages in the above mentioned , is if a particular bump or hole is causing the vehicle to bottom out at a particular shaft speed, you can adjust the starting point of the high speed down to assist the shock at that shaft speed and you do not have to up set your low to middle shaft speed adjustment.
The rebound adjustment is located at the bottom of the strut.
The low speed rebound is the blue knob and has 20 clicks available.

The high speed rebound is the red knob and has 4 positions.
There are 20 clicks available for each 4 positions of the high speed. In total there are 80 clicks available on rebound. This gives a huge range of fine adjustment increments.

The rebound adjustment is located on the shaft the bump adjustment are all on the canister.

This system gives maximum traction and also stability through the range of shaft speeds used at any particular track or gravel surface. It also enables the team to get the best set up within a very short time. Therefore cutting down testing time and costs.
The remote canister system has big bore high flow hose and fittings manufactured by DMS to ensure highest flow possible
This system also comes with multi swivel joint for the hose fitting at the top of the strut insert. This helps with fitting and locating the DMS remote canister.

Silversotne rally Tyre

Directional asymmetrical tyre designed form maximum traction during straight-line, cornering maneuvers and hard braking situations.

Provides maximum grip on gravel, clay, dry or moist surfaces.

Tread pattern designed for grooving to enhance traction in loose gravel and damp surfaces.

Specially formulated rubber compound.
